The Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering is located here, and it offers courses in many adventure activities namely trekking, mountaineering, skiing, and snowboarding. Snow-covered mountains, colourful and fragrant meadows of flowers, mesmerising ravines and dense foliage, make Gulmarg a romantic honeymoon destination for many newlyweds.
Pahalgam known as the 'valley Of Shepherds' is also a must visit on the itinerary. Pahalgam is a picture-perfect valley surrounded by densely wooded Pine Forests, breathtaking rolling Meadows, the Lidder River and the Himalayan Mountains.
The Scenic locales of Pahalgam have been featured many a times in Bollywood movies and many a love song have been sung here. Pahalgam also attracts a crowd during the two-day Snow Festival, showcasing Winter Sports like Skiing and Snow-sledging.
Best time to visit Kashmir is during the months of March to August. During this period two seasons are covered in Kashmir. Spring (March to early May) and Summer (early May to late August).
