On arrival at the Bengaluru domestic / international airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your chosen hotel for check-in in a private car. Rest of the day will be free to relax or head out and explore the surroundings on your own. 

Today after breakfast at your hotel café shop, proceed for an orientation tour of Bengaluru city. Your tour covers visits to the Vidhana Soudha, the Bangalore Palace, Nandi hills for some breathtaking views & the Lal Baug Botanical Garden.  

For lunch we take a break at the popular V V Puram food street located close to Lal Bagh and try some more local delicacies likes Thindi Beedi, Ragi roti, Paddus, Lemon Rice and much more. With belly full we head out shopping at the popular M.G. Road and Brigade Road markets. After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel. 

After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and  proceed by a chauffeur driven car to Mysore. Located at a distance of around 145 km from each other, the journey between Bengaluru and Mysore unravels little towns, temples, cuisines and scenes that are some of the best in the state. 

Your first encounter with highway food starts just after about 20 km into the highway with numerous little joints selling “Thatte idli” which is normal idlis set in large round plates. Our fist stop is  the town of Ramnagar. An important geological feature of this region is the Closepet granites and the town is known for its rocky boulders. This makes the place a hot favourite for trekkers and rock climbers. Also known as the silk town, Ramnagar has a thriving sericulture industry making it the largest market for silk cocoons in Asia. The silk produced here is the raw material and prime input for the world-renowned Mysore silk sarees. Being home to a number of critically endangered bird species like the yellow-throated bulbul and long-billed vulture, Ramnagar is home to the country’s sole Vulture Sanctuary. If you are a fan of history and religion, do not miss a visit to the ancient hill temple of Lord Rama here. Known locally as the “Ramadevara Betta”, the temple that dates back to about 1000 years is dedicated to Lord Rama and is believed to have been established by Sugreeva himself. 

About 60 km from Bengaluru is the town of dolls - Channapatna. If you are a fan of local art and craft, this town has to be on your to do list. Famous for brightly coloured wooden toys that date back to the days of Tipu Sultan, the toys of Channapatna are completely handcrafted. Originally made from ivory, the toys are now made from a wide variety of wood including teak, rose, pine and cedar. Close to  town is  the famous temple of Sri Aprameya Swamy that was built during the Chola period and the Ambegalu Krishna temple. The presiding of the latter is Lord Krishna in a crawling pose with a dollop of butter in his hands.

If you are a lover of wine and wine tasting, then head to the Heritage Winery just off Channapatna. Here you can not only take a tour of the grapevines but also witness the complete cycle of wine making. The session demonstrates various methods in processing and also provides insights into the elite world of wine tasting. A restaurant on the premises ensures that you satiate your hunger pangs after the whole exercise of swirling, sniffing and sipping wine.

On reaching Mysore we check into the hotel and refresh. Late evening, we head to the Brindavan gardens to witness the light show & the musical Fountain (06:30 – 08:00 pm).

After breakfast at your hotel we proceed for sightseeing. Your tour will cover a visit to the famous Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hill, the Zoological Park and the St. Philomena’s cathedral. 

A break for lunch at a local restaurant near you and thereafter we head out to the popular Devaraja Market for some shopping. Items popular on one’s shopping list are the Mysore Silk sarees and scarfs and products made from pure sandal wood. While shopping do not forget to get your hands on some delicious Mysore Pak at Guru Sweet Mart. After shopping you will be transferred back to your hotel for the night. 

This morning it is time to say goodbye to Mysore and head for some wildlife and adventure. Our drive to Kabini is short and quick due to the great network of roads in Karnataka. Arrive Kabini and hit the dirt road to your jungle resort. Refresh and enjoy your lunch at the resort restaurant. 

All resorts in Kabini offer two experiences, the jeep safari and the boat safari. We strongly recommend you try both, to give you a wider chance to see elephants, birds, spotted deer, Malabar Giant, Squirrel, peacocks, Langur, Dhole and if you are lucky Leopard as well. Today enjoy your land safari by jeep in the afternoon and relax with a bonfire dinner at the resort once back. 

Early morning wake up calls are registered for you to rise and shine for the early morning boat /coracle ride into the Nagarole National Park. The river safari is nothing short of stunning as an expert oarsman and guide will take you through the river's course in the forest, that is a part of Nagarhole. The boat glides over calm waters as you observe submerged trees, river banks with lush green grass and grazing herds of elephants, spotted deer and an incredible variety of birds! The safari can last a good three hours making you hungry for a scrumptious breakfast awaiting you at the resort. 

After some rest and relaxation at the resort and a light lunch, head out for the afternoon jungle safari. The forest department also offers some safe trekking routes for those interested. Once back to the resort remainder of the evening is free to enjoy the facilities at your resort and a dinner in the lap of nature. 

This morning  we head out again into the forest for the last safari of the trip. 

Later after breakfast and check out, drive to the pristine hill station Coorg also referred by the British as Scotland of India. Once you enter the geographical boundaries of this hill town, you will realise the place has done true justice to its nickname. Coorg is famous for the surreal beauty of nature and the hills of the Western Ghats covered by the mist of clouds and accompanied by the pleasant weather. If there is one thing that defines Coorg the best, then it has to be the infinite regal fields of coffee plantations. Coorg is one of the highest producers of coffee in India. 

Post arrival at your resort check in and relax. In the evening we recommend a short drive into town to try some local Kodava cuisine, indigenous to the area. Like most areas in and around the town, the platter revolves around the staple rice. A speciality of the area is Sannakki, a fragrant kind of rice. Non-vegetarian preparations of pork, meat and fish are also popular. Another popular local dish is the Pandi, which has come to represent the specialness of Kodava cuisine — not only because it is one of those rare South Indian pork dishes, but also for its unique taste. Pandi is tantalising, partly because the dry spices used in it — pepper, coriander and cumin- roasted before they are ground, giving the gravy a deliciously toasty flavour. 

Since dining out is not a culture besides a handful of routine eateries it is best recommended to dine at your hotel where chefs scramble to give you an experience as authentic as possible. Many of the local dishes find pride of place in the restaurant menu of most hotels. 

After breakfast at your hotel café, we proceed to visit the three main sites at Coorg. We start by a drive and short climb to view the Abbey falls. Spend 45 minutes to an hour here before we head out to Dubare Elephant Camp, a training and rescue operation by the local government. You'll be able to learn all about elephants, ride them, and even scrub them while they're being bathed in the river. The camp is open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The elephants are located on an island within the camp and it's necessary to take a boat to get there. 

We break for lunch at a local restaurant and thereafter continue our journey to the Namdroling Nyingmapa Tibetan Monastery and Golden temple, home to one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India. The amount of gold in the prayer hall and temple is quite overwhelming, as too are the immense gold statues of Buddha.

On the way back, we head to a local coffee plantation and experience an invigorating plantation tour. This 2 hour walk through a coffee plantation will help you to understand the brilliance behind your favourite beverage and learn the agricultural techniques unique to India. Become an expert in differentiating between Arabica and Robusta plant and bean, and a lot more. A plantation dinner can be organised if interested or else we drive back to the comforts of your resort. Remainder of the evening is free to pack up and prepare for your departure the following day.
